Our History

October 10, 1961 – Shop opens on Third Street in Saratoga offering children’s and teen clothes through donations and consignment. Open two days a week.

1964 – Shop now open three days a week, earnings of $2,400.

1967 – Shop moved to larger store on Third Street and was open five days a week.      Earnings of $5000.

1975 -A new Echo Shop emerged when the ECW voted to form a separate board for The Echo Shop. The Shop moved to 14477 Big Basin Way with Connie Brooding as manager.

1975 – All proceeds are earmarked for outreach purposes.

2009 – We dispersed over $76,000 to those in need.

2011 – Earnings for the year were $125,000.

2012 – Moved to 14554 Big Basin Way

2019 – A record year with proceeds of $160,000 and grants to our community of $95,000.

2020 – Echo Shop closes March-June due to global pandemic.  Survives via the generosity of its loyal volunteers, customers and patrons.  Re-opens in July.
